About the practice
Thoughtful evaluation, human connection
White Psychological Services was founded on the belief that a good evaluation is more than a score — it's a story. We take time to understand each person fully, and we write reports that reflect that depth.

Dr. Sarah White
Ph.D., Licensed Psychologist
Dr. White is a licensed psychologist with extensive experience conducting psychological and psychoeducational evaluations across the lifespan. She completed her master's degree at Avila University (Kansas City, MO) in Counseling Psychology and doctoral training at Walden University. She has been a licensed psychologist (Master's level) since 2018 and a Licensed Psychologist - Doctorate since 2026. Dr. White completed specialized training in assessment of learning disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and complex psychological presentations.
Prior to founding White Psychological Services, Dr. White worked in school, clinical, and hospital settings across Vermont, developing a deep familiarity with the educational and mental health systems her clients navigate. She brings that knowledge directly to her evaluation work — writing reports that are not only clinically rigorous but genuinely useful to the providers, families, and schools who rely on them.
Dr. White is committed to conducting evaluations that are thorough, compassionate, and free from bias. She believes that every person deserves to be understood on their own terms, and that a well-conducted evaluation can be a meaningful and even affirming experience.
Our philosophy
Evaluation as understanding
Rigor without rigidity
We use gold-standard, validated instruments — and we know when to go beyond the protocol to capture what the numbers alone can't tell us.
Reports that get read
We write for the people who will use our reports: providers, families, teachers, and the individuals themselves. Clear, jargon-free, and actionable.
Collaboration with referrers
We treat every referral as a professional partnership. We welcome communication before, during, and after the evaluation — and we return calls.
Respect for the individual
Every person who comes through our door is more than their referral question. We take time to understand the whole person, and our evaluations reflect that.
Ready to refer a client?
We welcome referrals from therapists, pediatricians, schools, and other licensed providers across Vermont.
